Cute Christmas Photo

I haven't had much time to scrapbook lately with my son's birthday and the holidays, but I have been taking lots of pictures! Just wanted to share this cute picture that I'm using for our Christmas cards this year.

 

I'll be sure to post my finished Christmas cards when I get them all done!

Thanksgiving Cards and More!

Want to create more than just a scrapbook layout for Thanksgiving? Close to my Heart products make it really easy to create interactive cards and cute ways to had out treats for the holiday.

All of the items shown were made using Close to my Heart products. The paper came from two different paper packs called Clementine and Flirty. The stamp set used was "So Grateful" and the exclustive CTMH Cricut cartridge Artiste is what makes creating these items so fast and easy.

 

 

This treat box is from the Artiste Cricut cartridge and is supposed to be a purse, but notice how easy it is to simply modify certain shapes by adding some burlap ribbon for a handle to make the "purse" a pumpkin.

 

This card was made using the Artiste cartridge for the turkey shape, and CTMH treat cups to hold the M&Ms. This card would be a perfect treat for the little kiddos, or even as seating cards around the table.

 

 

All of these shapes are also from the Artiste cartridge. I wrapped mine around a little mason jar filled with fall M&Ms, but you could also wrap it around a large candle for some DIY home decor.

 

 

The last item is a swing card made easy using the Artiste cartridge. This card also uses the stamp set "So Grateful" for the pumpkin and the saying.

Halloween Cards

Today I just wanted to share a couple of very cute cards created by my friend Shay. She's so creative. This is the first card. I love the design of this card, and of course the cute little bat! Perfect for Halloween.

 

 

The next card I love all the layers in the card design, and the glittery orange paper. I think everything is great with some sparkle!

Halloween Card

Here is a card I made for Halloween using papers from the CTMH Moonlight paper pack. The stamp set is a new one from CTMH for the Halloween season. Its called Magic Potions. I also used black tulle ribbon available from CTMH. The owl is from the new Create a Critter 2 cricut cartridge. I thought the owl went well with the stamp saying.

More with Moonlight

Here is another Halloween themed layout using the CTMH Moonlight paper pack. This layout also uses the Moonlight coordinating dimensional sheets. Sometimes I like doing a simple layout that doesn't involve stamping. Hope you like it. The idea for this layout can be found on pg. 56 of the current autumn/winter 2012 idea book.

Halloween Layout

Here is a Halloween layout I created using the Close to my Heart Moonlight paper pack. This 2 page layout is actually from the CMTH Workshops on the Go for the Moonlight paper pack. For the October Shay & J Creative Class we will be completing this layout and the projects from the Virtual Club Kit as well. New cricut cartridges

I recently got two new very cute cricut cartridges, Create a Critter 2 and Dino Play. I can't wait until I have a chance to scrap with these. Hopefully I will have projects to show very soon. I'm planning on using the Create a Critter 2 for a Halloween card swap, and the Dino Play will be perfect for my son's birthday party coming up at the Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum!

September Stamp of the Month

I can't believe it's September already! I do love fall though, and the Close to my Heart September stamp of the month, Fall Favorites, is a perfect start to get into the fall mood. This stamp set is personally one of my favorites, and only $5 with a qualifying purchase!

September Shay & J Creative Class

Our next creative class will be held on Tues. Sept. 18th @ 630 pm or Sat. Sept. 22 @ 12 pm. We will be making framed art for home decor. The cost of the class is only $3 and includes 2 sheets of patterned paper, a sheet of card stock, brads, and twine. Just provide the frame of your choice! Here are some of my examples...

The first one I used a frame from the dollar store. It is a little bit smaller than a 8X10.

 

The next example I adhered the layout to a 12X12 canvas, and attached a bow so it could hang on the wall. You could also use a 12X12 piece of wood.

This summer has been going by way too fast! Finally got some pictures of cards created by my friend Shay and I under the gallery tab. Please take a look! The cards are made from CTMH products using the Stella paper pack.

First Post

Hi everyone. I am very new to blogging, so we will see how this goes. I recently just became a Close To My Heart consultant, and so did one of my besties Shay. We are really excited about our new adventure together showing people how to have fun preserving their memories, card making, and possibly some other crafts along the way just for the fun of it.
